OSU chemical engineer wins Oklahoma BioScience Award

Oklahoma State University researcher Heather Gappa-Fahlenkamp was named winner of the 2015 Researcher Recognition Award this week at the 2015 Oklahoma BioScience Awards dinner at the Embassy Suites Hotel on the Oklahoma Health Center Campus.
Gappa-Fahlenkamp was one of the four winners named at the dinner.
Other winners were: Carl Edwards, chairman of the Presbyterian Health Foundation,
Hall of Fame Leadership Award; Josh O’Brien, director of entrepreneurial development
for the Greater Oklahoma Chamber, Community Recognition Award, and Caisson Biotech,
Inc., of Oklahoma City, which won the Innovation Recognition Award.
Gappa-Fahlenkamp is an associate professor in the school of chemical engineering at
OSU. The research award finalists were Judith James, of the Oklahoma Medical Research
Foundation; and William Orr, president-emeritus of the Lynn Institute.
Finalists for the Community Recognition Award were Doug Branch, Oklahoma City; and
the Cherokee Nation Seed Bank Program. Finalists for the Innovation Award were Moleculera
Labs and Haus Bioceuticals, both of Oklahoma City.
