OCRID Immunopathology Director, Dr. Rudra Channappanavar Receives OSU President's Fellows Faculty Research Award

The Oklahoma Center for Respiratory and Infectious Diseases (OCRID) congratulate Dr. Rudra Channappanavar, Associate Professor in the Department of Veterinary Pathobiology at Oklahoma State University, on receiving the 2025 President's Fellows Faculty Research Award. This prestigious honor recognizes outstanding faculty members whose research demonstrates exceptional impact and promise.

Dr. Channappanavar previously received the OCRID Research Project Award and currently serves as Director of the OCRID Immunopathology Core and Co-Director of the Animal Models Core. Through these roles, he has played a key part in advancing the center’s mission to foster innovative research and collaboration in respiratory and infectious diseases.

His research focuses on viral immunology and host–pathogen interactions, significantly advancing our understanding of immune responses to viral infections. His work has also contributed to the development of strategies for preventing and treating emerging infectious diseases.
