OCRID Center Investigator Dr. Clinton Jones elected as Fellow of the American Academy of Microbiology

In February 2025, the American Academy of Microbiology announced the election of 65 new Fellows. Election for this prestigious award is a peer-reviewed highly selective process that is based on records of scientific achievement and original contributions in Microbiology. Dr. Jones is a Regents and Sitlington endowed Professor at Oklahoma State University and is also a Center Investigator and a mentor for several projects at OCRID. Dr. Jones has NIH and USDA funded programs in his laboratory at the College of Veterinary Medicine that focus on bovine and human Herpesvirus pathology and how these viruses establish and maintain latency and reactivate. He has published close to 200 papers on these topics in high impact Virology journals and is a widely recognized expert in his field. OCRID congratulates Dr. Jones on this prestigious election!
