Membership
You are invited to become a member of the Oklahoma Center for Respiratory and Infectious Diseases (OCRID). Membership is open to any faculty members engaged in or interested in becoming involved in research focused on any aspect of respiratory and infectious diseases. There are no costs associated with becoming an OCRID member. To apply, send your CV and a brief statement of interest to ocrid@okstate.edu with OCRID membership on subject line.
As a member, you qualify for the following:
- OCRID-sponsored seed grants
- Applications taken annually
- Up to a maximum of $50,000
- OCRID-sponsored travel grants to attend respiratory and infectious disease meetings
- Applications taken on a rolling basis and will be granted on a case by case basis
- Up to $2500
- OCRID-sponsored seminars
- Invite and host speakers
- Meet with speakers
- Journal Club focused on respiratory and infectious diseases
- Your postdoctoral fellows, graduate students and undergraduate students can gain experience in critical analysis and presentation of research papers
- No registration fee for the Annual Oklahoma Respiratory and Infectious Diseases Retreat
- Keynote address from top scientists in the field
- Meet other investigators in Oklahoma and nearby states involved in respiratory disease research
- Your postdoctoral fellows, graduate students and undergraduate students are eligible to compete for awards for best presentation
