OCRID Project Leader  OCRID Research in Viruses Special Issue

Congratulations to Dr. Craig Miller and his team to publish the COVID-19 cat model!

"Clinical and Histopathologic Features of a Feline SARS-CoV-2 Infection Model Are Analogous to Acute COVID-19 in Humans" by Jennifer M Rudd, Miruthula Tamil Selvan, Shannon Cowan, Yun-Fan Kao, Cecily C. Midkiff, Sai Narayanan, Akhilesh Ramachandran, Jerry W Ritchey, Craig A Miller *

His paper can be accessed via the link below. This animal model provides an unique tool for therapeutic and vaccine development in fighting the pandemic as the model mimics human acute COVID-19.

Dr. Miller is a project leader in OCRID and Assistant Professor in the Department of Veterinary Pathobiology, CVM at OSU. His research on COVID-19 is supported by the OCRID full research project program.

Since the pandemic began, OCRID has funded six COVID-19 projects.
