OCRID Project Leader Dr. Craig Miller and His Team to Publish the COVID-19 Animal Model

Congratulations to Dr. Craig Miller and his team to publish the COVID-19 animal model. The paper entitled "Clinical and Histopathologic Features of a Feline SARS-CoV-2 Infection Model Are Analogous to Acute COVID-19 in Humans" can be accessed here . This animal model provides an unique tool for therapeutic and vaccine development in fighting the pandemic as the model mimics human acute COVID-19. Dr. Miller is a project leader in OCRID and Assistant Professor in the Department of Veterinary Pathobiology, CVM at OSU. His research on COVID-19 is supported by the OCRID full research project program. Since the pandemic began, OCRID has funded six COVID-19 projects.
